We Stand With You

The Speech the President Should Have Made

I speak for the United States of America to the Iranian people who yearn for freedom and democracy. Who yearn to be free of despot dictators and oppressive rulers. Who yearn to live their lives free of tyranny. To those who are locked in the epoch battle of their times in the Middle East, I speak for America when I say: We stand with you.

We stand with you in support of your efforts to have your voice heard.

We stand with you to bring the cause of freedom to your land.

We stand with you against the horrid rule of Ahmadinejad and the tyrannical mullahs.

We stand with you against the oppression that has plagued you for too long.

As Ronald Reagan stood against the evil empire of the Soviet Union to help support the revolution in Poland, so too do I stand with you.

We stand with you and support your efforts and will do what we can to aid you in your fight. 

To the Iranian people: Stand up for your freedom now. Take to the streets and show your solidarity with each other and your desire for freedom. Let the sound of liberty and justice resound throughout your land today. Stand up and face down those who would raise the hand of hatred toward your desire for the basics that all humans deserve. Stand up and meet your challenge head on. 

Be brave and courageous and know that within this struggle we stand with you!
